Mt. Hebron Nursery School is concerned with the development of the total child. Attention is given to the intellectual, social, emotional, physical and creative growth of each child.

Our goals are to help children:

• develop an interest in words and reading;
• to expand communication skills;
• develop an awareness of the world around them through their five senses;
• develop their physical abilities in both gross and fine motor movement;
• develop an understanding and acceptance of themselves, with the result being a healthy and positive self-image;
• develop an understanding and acceptance of others, including their family and friends
• learn to share with others;
• develop the ability to express their emotions in constructive ways;
• develop creativity in a variety of mediums;
• care for their physical well-being with health and safety concerns; and
• learn to embrace their own and other’s cultural differences.
